Don’t get me wrong, McHappy Day is a good thing but, flawed in its delivery.
McHappy Day raises funds for the charity, which helps keep families together while their seriously ill child undergoes treatment.
We (public) are digging deep but what is McDonald’s and it’s franchises contributing to Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) ?
We contribute by buying Big Macs, socks and making donations.
What does McDonalds (company) contribute to the day?
As far as I can see, marketing for the day and not much else.
What does the McDonalds franchise owner contribute?
$2 from every Big Mac sold. On the basis that there is a 30% markup (it’s more), they are contributing the profit but not contributing anything more. Don’t forget, it’s one item, not fries, or other burgers, or anything else.
Did you know they encourage staff to dress up (superhero outfits) at the staff members expense.
How about McDonald’s (company) contributing 10% of ALL sales for the day?
How about each franchise contribute $1 of every item sold?
How about funding staff outfits?
Let’s get serious McDonalds!
