The key to managing diabetes is eating and drinking the right foods/drinks.
The reality is EVERYTHING has sugar in it. The more product labels I read, the more I am surprised by the quantity of sugar in every day staples.
After 3 months of slowly getting my blood sugar down with a daily intake of low sugar items and medication, I discovered that MILK has an incredible 12.3g of sugar in it.
Australian (lite) Milk
Sugars: 12.3g Quantity Per Serving
I changed to Almond Milk and dropped a whopping 2 mmol in one day.
Nutty Bruce – Organic Almond Milk
Sugars: 3.5g Quantity Per Serving
If you don’t like the sound of almond milk, there are a bunch of other low sugar (non-dairy) milk (should be called ‘juice’). To be honest, I quite like the almond milk.
